XD is extreme in every way! We are all being tested & free evenings are no different. Let me give you a little taste of one.... I went for a walk with a guy & we are peaceful sitting on a hill; look at the stars & chatting. I hear this grunt coming from the bushes & ask him if he heard it. He sort of laughs it off & tells me there are no vipers around. "Well," I reply, "The other night a couple was off in the bushes & got chased by a wild boar." Not 10 seconds later directly across from us a mother boar & her babies come walking out, soon to be followed by about 10 more adults. We are kind of laughing when we see the daddy boar. He was nothing to laugh at. He is bigger than a dog & has rather large tusks. So we are sitting there very silently when it suddenly looks in our direction. The guy beside me jumps up & thankfully they all run off in the opposite direction, which happens to be on the way to our lodging. My heart was pounding, but TYJ for brave men. We made it home safely..... after having to climb the fence to get back inside the compounded. Who says Family life is not exciting?!
A little info for you on the size of male boars, so you can understand my pounding heart :)
They can reach up to 440 lb (200 kg) and can grow up to 6 feet (1.8 m) long, and weigh up to 705 lb (320 kg).
