No one but Night, with tears on her dark face watches beside me in this windy place.

He giveth me wings to fly!

Dad: If you're going to give your life to Jesus, then why not go all the way? He went all the way to the cross for you. He bled and died for you! He came to this ungodly Earth and He took upon Himself the form of a man and walked this dusty road called life all because of you. He was touched with the feeling of your infirmities. He was persecuted and got weary of sacrifice, but He did it for you--just you. He did it out of love for you--just you.
Will you take up the cross that He's given to you‚ and only you? Will you walk this dusty road of life even if you're weary of sacrifice, out of love for your Lord and Lover Who gave His life for you? Will you pick up the cross of dying to yourself and carry it, just like He carried His cross up to Calvary for you? You have only one life to live for Jesus, and this life on Earth is slowly coming to a close. This life, this world and all that it has to offer, will soon be no more, and all that you'll have left will be the memories of your life for Jesus, your life as His disciple, your life as His missionary, and the fruits thereof in the form of His spiritual and physical children.
Samuel Rutherford:
We are bid to take, not to make our cross. God in His providence will provide one for us.
Christ's cross is the sweetest burden that ever I bear; it is such a burden as wings are to a bird or sails to a ship.

Monday Nonsense....
Funny thing today; I looked at myself in the mirror & I felt like the face of a 17 year old is staring back. I know you think I am crazy, but I went and told my parents & my Dad agreed. He said when I came into the living room this morning he was thinking how young I looked. Now I know why people don't take me seriously. LOL It's funny though how on certain days your face appears different.

Christ in me; the hope of glory!
The ending of the physical & beginning of the spiritual
Monday, February 18, 2008
It's raining right now, yet I know soon I will see the sun.

I find when I once again yield all to Him; thinking I have nothing I am holding on to, He finds yet another thing precious to me & asks if I am willing to yield it up too. What can I say, but yes, though my heart cries in the giving.
"If Jesus Christ is God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."

A great answer by a great man
Someone had this on their blog -
The university professor challenged his students with this question. Did God create everything that exists? A student bravely replied yes, he did!" "God created everything?" The professor asked. "Yes, sir," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil." The student became quiet before such an answer.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody and every object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have too little heat.
The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does".
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. "These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Finally a good female singer!

I finally found a Fam female singer I really like: Florence, she truly has an awesome voice!!!
As another female so nicely put it:
Flo, your voice is beautifully perfect!...need more of that sounding in the Family. I don't think I've heard such a great female voice in the Fam before...relief to my ears.
Well, I know I haven't!
If you haven't heard them, you should try them...it could be addictive!!!! :D

One of lives complicated questions:

Henry: Do you really think there is only one perfect mate?
Leonardo da Vinci: As a matter of fact, I do.
Henry: Well then how can you be certain to find them? And if you do find them, are they really the one for you or do you only think they are? And what happens if the person you're supposed to be with never appears, or she does, but you're too distracted to notice?
Leonardo da Vinci: You learn to pay attention.
Henry: Then let's say God puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the lady you're supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or, was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?

Vegetarian Lioness: Little Tyke
Read a most interesting article about a lioness who never touched meat in her life. I am not pro-vegetarian in anyway, but thought it interesting how sometimes God does these things to remind us of His Words: "And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. Genesis 1:30"
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.(Isaiah 11:6)

Love has no limits

No matter what this life may throw at you
No matter how unloved you feel
No matter if there's no tomorrow
I will always be here for you...
Maybe not in the physical
Maybe not in the flesh
But you have to know I love you
Because you are simply the best!!!
No matter how unloved you feel
No matter if there's no tomorrow
I will always be here for you...
Maybe not in the physical
Maybe not in the flesh
But you have to know I love you
Because you are simply the best!!!

You must learn to focus fully on the light.

What is the light that your focus must be directed toward? The light of God's Word!
Praise is a very effective step toward focusing on the light.
No soldier should ever go forth with their focus on the darkness. That's not the way to win a war. Always go out with your vision focused on the light, on the goal, on the promise, on the objective. Lift your spirits and eyes toward the beacon and march forward with full confidence that Jesus is there for you. That's the secret to victory!
Focusing on the light is an extremely important tactic for the days ahead. It's a key to having the power and strength to overcome and win. That's the only focus you should have. The light! That's the focus every disciple must keep. The light! That's the focus every child must be given. The light! That's the focus that the souls you are witnessing to must be given. Lead by directing to the light. That's a secret to victory!
A HANDFUL OF BEER QUOTES

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
--Dave Barry
The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.
--Humphrey Bogart
People who drink light "beer" don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee a lot.
--Capital Brewery, Middleton, WI
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.
--Dave Barry
I drink to make other people interesting.
--George Jean Nathan
An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with his fools.
