No one but Night, with tears on her dark face watches beside me in this windy place.

May 11, 1996, was a day of tragedy for many people. Domingo Pacheco was rushing to catch a flight out of Miami when the left-rear tire of his car blew out on the expressway. For more than an hour, he sweated under the hot Florida sun as he struggled to change the tire. When he finally finished the job, with the soot from the tire still clinging to his hands, he answered a call on his cell phone.
His mother was calling him, and she was overjoyed to hear his voice. Domingo, however, wasn't in such a good mood. He explained to his mother how a flat had caused him to miss his flight. At that point, she shouted: "Turn on your radio! The plane you were going to be on just crashed in the Everglades! I'm glad you had a flat!" Domingo Pacheco should have been aboard ValuJet Flight 592, but a flat tire saved his life.
The question is: Should he have been on the flight? The answer is, obviously, no. Was it one of those strange "coincidences" of life? That is, was it a coincidence, which some people describe as God's way of remaining anonymous, or was it simply that his angel was looking after him?
Most of us don't get too excited about flat tires or, for that matter, problems of any kind. It seems they always come at the wrong time and complicate our lives. But just as Domingo's flat, or "problem," was a lifesaver, who knows what the positive benefits might be when unexpected problems and difficulties are encountered?
The next time something unexpected happens to you, pause for a moment and ask yourself: "Is it really that bad, or is there a chance that what's happened might, in the long run, be the best thing that's happened to me in a long time?" Think about it. Take the optimistic outlook!
I need help...please do something. Send me something. Show me clearly.

Someday, god knows when, I will stop this absurd, self-pitying, idle, futile despair. I will begin to think again, and to act according to the way I think.

No one feels close to the heart tonight.
Away from sight many magical lands call.
Dream after dream, palaces with open hands call.
But they are desolate inside.
No one feels close to the heart tonight.
Some song, some scent, some unbelievably pretty face.
Some passing promise, a hope's fleeting trace.
Gloomy memory, a sigh, faith, faithless plight
Nothing!
No one feels close to the heart tonight.
If your memory is with me, then whether you are near or far
Every moment, my wailing heart's shadow weaver you are
And if not, then no where, no one in sight.
No one feels close to the heart tonight.
As evening blurs into the night, my loneliness
sinks into my heart like a dead weight.
Lo! the moon rises with your remembrance.
Life feels friendly, compassionate.
